“The Creative Process in Choreographic Works and Performances of Segun Adefila”.
Dance as an artistic endeavour thrives on creativity to endear itself towards the audience. Using Murray’s framework of the creative writing process which suggests identifying the subject; sensing the audience; searching for specifics and creating the design, as a yardstick. This study examines the creative process in dance movement. Performances, choreographic works, rehearsals and interviews with Segun Adefila (Crown Troupe of Africa) are to be analysed to foreground this study.
